About Saspan Salt

Saspan Salt makes apparel from the odd, overlooked and unmistakably local history of coastal North Carolina. Some designs begin with real newspaper advertisements, historic businesses and archival ephemera. Others begin with the things locals recognize immediately—the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, the road to Ocean Isle Beach, the clock in Shallotte, fishing, boating and the small details that become local shorthand.

The goal is not generic North Carolina souvenir merchandise. It is the stuff you recognize because you live here, grew up here, vacation here, or spent enough time around the Cape Fear coast to get the joke.

Historical material is restored carefully and paired with original Saspan Salt work in a vintage visual language. Products are made to order.
